Work Permit + Volunteer

 TO OBTAIN YOUR WORK PERMIT:

Find a job and be hired by an employer.  Work permits are not issued until you have an actual job.

Once you are hired, complete the STATEMENT OF INTENT TO EMPLOY A MINOR AND REQUEST FOR WORK PERMIT-CERTIFICATE OF AGE form.

You can download a copy of the form below.

Make sure that your parent (or legal guardian) sign the form, as well as your new Employer. Once the form is completed, bring the form to B110 (Career Center) or place Mr. Butler’s mailbox at Santa Clara High School, Attn:  Anthony D. Butler

(Note: Please make sure to include your social security number on the application in the correct space!)

Once the paperwork is processed, you will receive the official permit that you must sign and turn into your employer.

The permit will be good for the school year and following summer and must be renewed once the next school year begins (August, 2027)
